Got the sample size of Nova with a full size bloom. Replacing the Olay moisturizer I've been using since I was a teen. I'm 35 and Nova seems to be improving the fine lines around my eyes! It swipes on nicely but I'm afraid I'm going through it too fast, will see if I can keep affording it.
It was a little bit of a learning curve for me to use this bar, but it’s actually really simple - just wet it, smooth it over soaking wet hair (I smooth it from roots all the way down several times all over), work it in a little with hands, then let it do its thing while I finish the rest of my shower. It doesn’t seem like it’s doing anything until you go to rinse it out, and your hair is now softer than anything! I’m just over 3 months into my first bar and there’s still lots left! This combined with the shampoo bar (which smells so good btw) are my new normal.
I’ve used a shampoo bar before from another company and was wildly underwhelmed. So this time I waited 3 months before writing this review just to be sure, and here’s what I found out: 1) So.Much.Suds! I love me some suds in my shampoo, and this delivers! Honestly it would probably last twice as long if I didn’t suds it up so much haha, but whatever ;) (for reference I have medium length fine hair and a lot of it, the bar has lasted me just over 3 months so far and is quite a bit thinner now but no signs of breaking apart yet so I expect to get another couple months, hoping for 6 total - I also have the soap saver bag to use it to the very end). 2) No more toner! The color depositing really works, because I haven’t used a bleach toner on my hair in over 3 months and my blonde baby lights are looking just as good as ever! 3) Green much? Environmentally friendly packaging, product, and company, I mean what’s not to love? 4) Not sure if it’s this bar or the conditioner or a combo but my hair is so soft now, and I never use product in it. Even freshly washed, it feels soft not dried out or frizzy. So not only does this keep my blonde going strong, it hydrates better than any liquid shampoo I’ve tried! Needless to say I’m not going back!
I’m out surfing in Lombok Indonesia right now and when I tell you your tuff stuff has saved me, I am not kidding. I rubbed the leftover that was on my hands from applying it onto my bum just to use it up, thinking I didn’t really need it because I used a different zinc based sun screen for my whole body. And the ONLY place on the backs of my legs/bum that didn’t burn is the random spots I wiped off the excess tuff stuff !! So while I now have really weird burn patterns it really proved how well your zinc works !! And that I will be ordering so much more when the new formula comes out !! THANK YOU for helping protect my skin so I can do what I love !!
