Tuff Stuff really is, the toughest stuff. Designed for outdoor enthusiasts who face the harshest environmental conditions, our zinc covering cream is your skincare solution.
This formula uses only natural and nature-identical ingredients. It is broad spectrum and super water resistant to keep your skin protected and hydrated during any land or water-based activity. Because this is a thicker formula, Tuff Stuff stays put and will not rub off with sweat or drip into your eyes while swimming. Zinc oxide, a mineral UV blocker, is the most reef-friendly ingredient in comparison to other UV blockers such as Oxybenzone, Octinoxate, ButylParaben, and 4-methylbenzylidine camphor.
Our covering cream is tinted so you don't have to worry about looking like a 1980s lifeguard. Like all zinc oxide based products, there is a slight white cast to the product on your skin. Our current shade is not a one size fits all and as Green Room expands, it is our goal to make more inclusive tones. Regardless of skin colour though, rest assured that a solid white nose is a thing of the past!
The metal tin is our choice of sustainable packaging as it can either be re-used indefinitely or completely recycled without any loss in material. Big shoutout to the girls at Surf Sister in Tofino for their help in developing the formula! Those girls are on the beach and in the water all day long!

While I don't live somewhere that is particularly sunny right now, I have tried this product out just around the house and one day of skiing. I love the texture of the cream and the color blends nicely with my skin tone. Excited to put this to the test come spring/summer.
I have super sensitive skin, eczema, acne, and on top of that I’m using prescription retin-a. I’ve tried all types of sunscreens (including expensive, dermatologist given), and at points haven’t even been able to wear any! This is the ONLY sunscreen I’ve ever used that does not have a cast, is not greasy, doesn’t pill/ flake, and does not feel chalky. On top of that the tin is so very convenient, and this sits so well under makeup (or just to make your skin look even and bright!). This is seriously my forever sunscreen, thank you for saving my skin!! I can finally wear sunscreen again with no sensitivity!
I bring this thing everywhere and I works so well. I usually only have to apply it once, even on days where I'm in the water. It also works well under makeup, and the tint compliments medium-light olive skin tone.
Love using this zinc based product, it’s so matte unlike so many face sunscreens so you aren’t left looking a shiny sweaty mess! Also as a new breastfeeding mom I’m very conscious of what goes on my skin especially because baby also loves kissing my face!
February is Black History Month and so we've compiled a list of some of the most influential and inspiring Black environmentalists and scientists out there! We need this information to be out loud and proud because schools don't always teach us this stuff!
