Tuff Stuff really is, the toughest stuff. Designed for outdoor enthusiasts who face the harshest environmental conditions, our zinc covering cream is your skincare solution.

This formula uses only natural and nature-identical ingredients. It is broad spectrum and super water resistant to keep your skin protected and hydrated during any land or water-based activity. Compared to lighter everyday sunscreens, Tuff Stuff is a thicker formula and will not rub off with sweat or drip into your eyes while swimming. Tuff Stuff offers the type of coverage you need for activities such as surfing, boating, hiking, working outside, or for those long days relaxing at the beach.

Our covering cream is tinted so you don't have to worry about looking like a 1980s lifeguard. Like all zinc oxide based products, there is a slight white cast to the product on your skin. Our current shade is not a one size fits all and as Green Room expands, it is our goal to make more inclusive tones. Regardless of skin colour though, rest assured that a solid white nose is a thing of the past!

Zinc oxide, a mineral UV blocker, is the most reef-friendly ingredient in comparison to other UV blockers such as Oxybenzone, Octinoxate, ButylParaben, and 4-methylbenzylidine camphor. The metal tin is our choice of sustainable packaging as it can either be re-used indefinitely or completely recycled without any loss in material.

Big shoutout to the girls at Surf Sister in Tofino for their help in developing the concept! Those girls are on the beach and in the water all day long!

Apply to face and lips with clean, dry fingers. Blend in and layer for more coverage. Keep product out of direct heat and sunlight. Remove with a gentle cleanser or an oil-based product (For Your Face works!). Wipe off and rinse with water. Follow with For Your Face.

Amazing for tattoos!

I use Tuff Stuff every time I go in the sun. It’s PERFECT for my tattoos and keeps them looking as new as the day I got them. I have never gotten a burn and I’ll never stop using it, I’m obsessed!

Sun protection for the Outdoorsy People

Love that the zinc is tinted! I can apply to all my easy sun burn areas and know I’m protected all day! At the beach, landscaping or on a hike! After a long day it washes off easy with soap and water. I even used it for an outdoor wedding and it blended just like a concealer!

Stays put!

I'm a sweater, especially on my nose and forehead, and this stuff stays on and doesn't run into my eyes like most sunscreens. I'm a medium skintone and blends okay, but honestly I will take the comfortable protection over anything.

Tuff Stuff

For me the tough stuff goes on easily when I use it with the face cream, but I am not completely sure if it blocks the sun. I have only been using it for a couple weeks and when I go biking. It seems at nite when I wash my face my face still seems to be “reddish”, but perhaps without it I would be “scarlet”. I would say tuff stuff and I are a work in progress. For me it does blend in nicely. So I am very pleased with it.

Hi Jane!
Love that you are finding it easy to apply your Tuff Stuff and that it blends well. Keep in mind that when you are diluting the formula with the face lotion for more 'daily coverage', that you are also diluting the level of protection and it may require re-application if you are spending a lot of time outdoors. We recommend using Tuff Stuff as is (no mixing with another product) when you are going to be outside in the elements for extended periods of time for maximum protection. The daily coverage method is sufficient for days when you are mostly indoors, running errands, etc. Gotta wear that protection every day!
